Norwich Swan are always interested to hear from motivated, enthusiastic people who would like to become involved in our teaching or coaching programme.

All our learn-to-swim classes are run by Level 2 (or Level 3) teachers/coaches, with assistance on poolside (or in the water) by Level 1 teachers or assistants.

In our learn-to-swim programme our teachers run their own classes and have autonomy to structure their classes around the framework of the new ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming. Our teachers need to be confident in teaching classes by themselves, liaising with parents and mentoring assistants, while all the time acting professionally as the representative of Norwich Swan Swimming Club.

We conduct swimmers assessments every term, and our Head Teacher visits all pools regularly to monitor the swimmers progression and to help with any issue you may have.

We can offer:

    1. Good rates of pay (depending on the level of your teaching/coaching qualification)
    2. Four weeks of holiday pay each year
    3. Financial assistance towards further training and development (eg. Level 2 and/or Level 3 courses, and CPD courses)
    4. Financial assistance towards the National Rescue Test for Swimming Teachers & Coaches qualification
    5. Teaching opportunities from Stage 1 of the ASA National Teaching Plan for Swimming through to coaching swimmers at Regional level
    6. Administrative pay for processing swimmer assessments
    7. Regular teachers and coaches meetings

Interested? If so email John Digby our Head Coach with a brief resume, and state what you can bring to Norwich Swan Swimming Club
